Horyou - Connect for Good
Horyou.com is the social network for social good. It specializes in the creation, development, organization, management, distribution and implementation of online and traditional media projects as well as events at a global level. The group’s headquarters are in Geneva and it includes two locations in Paris and New York. It also have representatives in key regions such as Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. In addition to developing a wealth of brands and multimedia projects, Horyou’s signature initiative is its social network for social good. It brings together members, organizations and personalities to connect for good. “What the Horyou platform is trying to do is to get those people to talk to each other and to connect them to funders. I can think of nothing better,” Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google Inc., said during an interview at Horyou Village. The annual event organized during the Cannes Film Festival is designed to bring arts, culture and diversity to the forefront of cinema’s premiere celebration through interviews, performances and exhibitions. Horyou and the Horyou Foundation, which funds individual and group projects in support of solidarity and positive action, also hosts the annual Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum in Geneva (https://www.sigef2015.com), where the company is based. The forum gathers non-profit organizations, renowned keynote speakers, social entrepreneurs and the general public for three days of dialogue and interaction. This year’s edition will take place Oct. 23-25, with the theme Shaping Better Times to Come. In addition to a social network, Horyou hosts international events. Horyou TV is a social web channel that documents positive action around the world. Horyou Magazine chronicles the ideas and progress of the many individuals and organizations on the platform. The Great Doing Good series tracks the positive ideas of everyday people, and the Live & Dream program rewards the work of those who are making a difference.
