Give credit where credit is due!
Acknowledging and recognizing people when they deserve it is a great thing to do, and it's not difficult when you like them or agree with them. However, it's a bit more difficult when you don't like the person o happen to not concur with his or her opinion. That's when this idiom "Give credit where credit is due" is very useful.
